I thought it was nice. The art is unique from other animations, but looks like a flash animation at some scenes. I really enjoyed the background music and insert song, too! Although, will see if the plot is retained for each Anime Castle episode before giving final judgement... I rather hope each episode gives different characters the spotlight.

Just caught this show on Cartoon Network, NEVER heard of it before...why does CN always debut shows not previously advertised early in the morning?  Adventure Time and Generator Rex aren't being neglected though....

Anyway, love the art style, hope the story's more fleshed out in newer episodes (i know there's info on this site, just want to see it come through the show itself)

Well, I missed the first part of episode 2, which seemed to be a Mystique Sonia episode, darn. Caught the second part though, I enjoyed it, but similar to the first. The third episode was totally different, I won't say it to spoil anyone for the first part. Second part introduced Second Squad though, which is very nice. Looking forward to it.

According to the link below, Closed Beta will begin May 11th. Also, the total viewers for US, UK, Germany & Italy gained 100+ million viewers. That's very good for Hero: 108, congrats!

Cartoon Network should have advertised this show before it came out. I missed the first episode and just managed to start watching it last week.

But I do have to say it's a very interesting show with a unique art style and interesting concept behind it. I've always wondered what it would be like if animals went against humans, and this is answering my thoughts on it.

So far, my favorite character in Lin Chung. I don't know what it is about him, but I have fallen in love with this guy and sincerely can't wait to see more of him and First Squad in future episodes.

Also, if they ever make toys, clothing, etc. after this show, I would love to have a Yaksha hat. That thing is awesome.

The show is really good so far. I, however, would like to see more of Squad Two. I know they're not the main characters, but I've only seen them three times, maybe? Perhaps one episode dedicated to them and what they do would help them be a bit more noticeable.

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing an episode showing how first squad came to be (if the backstories of them are interesting, anyways).

Can't wait to see more episodes~

Definitly one of CN's better cartoons in my opinion, its creative and silly and I love it. My favorite charactor has got to be Sonia, I find her the most interesting considering she has a super strong tounge and a mighty hat haha. She's pretty cute too.

This is defenitly one of the best shows I've seen on CN. Lin Chung is still my favorite of all the characters, but I do also like GoldenEye Husky from Second Squad. A fire-breathing liger would be amazing to have.

Hope this show sticks around for quite a while. I can't get enough of it!

I can really relate to Lin Chung.

I draw anime and I always need inspiration to draw.

When I heard Lin Chung saying he coudn't find any inspiration to draw, that just blew me away!

This show is DA BOMB!!

Why does this show have absolutely no advertising?  No warnings for when new episodes will come out...  we weren't told ahead of time (whereas they couldn't stop talking about adventure time)...  wassup?  Either way, this is an outstanding show.  I love the animation, and the characters are always enjoyable.  I especially love how the lion king showed up in a later episode, being all cool n' stuff.

I found this show on accident, and I fell in love with it. High Roller is the cutest, the most aborable villian I have ever seen. There's going to be a line of Hero 108 toys coming out, right?

Santa, I want a High Roller plushie. Now.

Honestly, though, why did you guys decide not to have the arrow through High Roller's ear? I know, it's pretty gruesome, and it's a kids show, but seriously, High Roller looks about ten times more badass with it.

Lin Chung is the most skilled sniper in Big Green. The cool, silent backbone of First Squad, Hero 006 possesses the legendary Panther Eye Vision. This mysterious power allows Lin Chung to see great distances by holding his hands up to his eyes like binoculars. With Panther Eye Vision, he can also see action in slow motion while he moves at terrific speed. Lin Chung uses a long bamboo staff for his sniper gun and arms it with the extremely sharp ends of newly sprouted bamboo shoots. If his First Squad team members can’t find him, they know to look for Lin Chung in the bamboo forest where he mediates, calmly waiting for more ammunition to grow. Lin Chung's also has his "Master Stroke" in his arsenal which is devastating to all enemies. This move involves a great leap into the air while spinning his staff. He catches the staff, which propels his full body into a spin, projecting him at his opponent with massive force. Lin Chung is also an artist. He is rather obsessed with producing the perfect painting. And, although his artistic skills are not up to par when he first takes up the brush, he definitely matures and becomes quite a master. Unfortunately, he is often distracted from battle by an intriguing image that he feels he must paint.

Series Mini-Bible

Hero 108: The Story of First Squad

Long, long ago in the Hidden Lands, the Animals and the Humans lived together in peace.

It was sweet!

But the sugary nectar of tranquility was sucked dry by an evil interloper named HighRoller. HighRoller learned to speak the language of Animals—and he filled their heads with lies! Horrible, disorderly lies!

He convinced the Animals that the Humans were their enemies, and he persuaded them to form a toothy, hoofy, furry army. This Animal Army drove the Humans from their homes, and forced them to live as refugees. HighRoller ruled the land as a petty, greedy, immature emperor…and with his brainwashed Animal Army, no one could tell him, “No!”

But in the midst of the darkness, there was a greenish-hued ray of hope: An alliance of Heroes formed to oppose the evil emperor. These heroic Humans and clear-headed Animals sought to battle HighRoller’s armies, repair the rift between the Animals and Humans, and restore peace to the Hidden Kingdom. They banded together and called themselves Big Green (named after their floating fortress, created from the abandoned shell of a massive tortoise.)

FIRST SQUAD: Within Big Green, one squad of heroes distinguished themselves with their courageous actions: Their names were Lin Chung, Mystique Sonia, Mighty Ray, and Jumpy Ghostface. These heroes became known as First Squadron, and became the ones who were called in for missions of special importance.

CHARACTERS:

Lin Chung

Lin Chung is the most accomplished, most skilled warrior in all of Big Green. He possesses the legendary Panther Vision, which allows him to see great distances, or to see the world in slow motion while he moves with terrific speed. This vision has allowed Lin Chung to become an extraordinary sharpshooter. Lin Chung shoots bamboo shoots from his bamboo gun with amazing speed and incredible accuracy. He exhibits an effortless skill and physical prowess in all areas of the battlefield. His outstanding abilities have saved First Squad from danger on more than one occasion.

But while Lin Chung has the skill of a warrior, he has the soul of an artist.

Often it seems that everything around him…his teammates, his duties, even the very battles he is fighting…is of secondary concern to him. These things hold little importance to him when he is occupied with his true concern: Drawing.

Lin Chung spends much of his time sketching. And when he is drawing, you could practically drop a bomb on him, and he wouldn’t notice as long as it didn’t knock the pencil out of his hand. He has been know to hold a finger up to an opponent in battle, signaling for him to pause so he can capture the scene in charcoal.

Unfortunately, Lin Chung’s passion for drawing is completely unmatched by his skill. Or, to put it another way: He sucks.

Lin Chung is blissfully ignorant of his artistic suck-itude. His First Squad teammates have learned to make up creative ways to avoid telling him the truth about his horrible drawings, because Lin Chung has delicate feelings when it comes to his art. And First Squad has learned the hard (and painful) way that it’s really unpleasant to work with a sharpshooter who can’t keep his mind on his work.

Lin Chung often retreats to the forest for solitary communion with nature. He comes back refreshed and energized. This gives him a great calm, which often allows him to notice things others simply don’t see. For instance, he has been known to wander off during battle; the others think he’s been goofing off, but in reality, he has single-handedly thwarted an ambush. Also, when a battle starts, he often hangs back and looks for an opportunity to use his sharp-shooting skills, rather than rushing in headlong like some of his teammates.

Lin Chung’s ability to focus on more than just the clamor around him causes him to seem detached at times. Indeed, he is unlikely to joke or chitchat with his teammates. (He’s more likely to converse with bamboo shoots in the forest.) However, he has a sincere affection and respect for his teammates. And when they are in trouble, Lin Chung drops everything to rush to their rescue.

Lin Chung is a warrior of few words. His character should be revealed through action as often as possible. He is immensely skilled in battle, and rarely “breaks a sweat.” He might defeat eighteen Baboons, stop a dam from breaking, then land a quadruple back-flip…and his only reaction will be to straighten his hair.

Mystique Sonia

Mystique Sonia is the most beautiful girl in all of Big Green. She knows it. And she’s not afraid to use it.

Sonia will act all girly if it gets her what she wants. She’ll get one of the Tank Soldiers to wash her Turtle for her. Or she’ll convince one of the Air Force Pilots to take out the garbage for her. She is frequently showered with chocolates, flowers, and love letters from the soldiers of Big Green. And she loves the attention.

But don’t be fooled into mistaking her for a sweet, innocent little girl. Because when it comes to the battlefield, Mystique Sonia can lay down some old-school smack-down just as well as any of the boys! She’s badass, and she didn’t make it into First Squad for her good looks.

Mystique Sonia’s primary weapon is her long tongue attack. It can stretch several times her own body length and can be used to SMACK opponents from long distance. She can also use her tongue to tie up a Bear, trip an Elephant, lasso an Eagle, or create a strong wind by twirling her tongue like a fan. Sonia’s tongue is mightier than the sword!

In addition to her tongue, she wears a magical creature called a Yaksha on her head like a hat. Yaksha can stretch its body into many shapes. He has been used as a trampoline, or he can stretch to shield Sonia from attack. He can stretch his arms so that Sonia can swing from tree to tree, or his arms can function as another weapon in combination with Sonia’s tongue. Yaksha can also lift objects much heavier than Sonia could (and she’s certainly not above letting Yaksha do the grunt work.) Yaksha is completely, lovingly loyal to Sonia, and would sacrifice his life to protect her from harm.

Mystique Sonia has one other power: She feeds the members by magically causing steamed buns to grow up from the ground. They are delicious and nutritious, and give the members of First Squad plenty of strength for fighting!

One Final Thing: The members of First Squad are pretty used to Mystique Sonia and unlike most males in Big Green, they don’t go out of their way to treat her like a princess.

Mighty Ray

Mighty Ray is the most powerful member of Big Green. He possesses mighty Magical Electrical Eyeballs, which can unleash incredible blasts of lightning, fire, and thunder! His blasts can zap a battalion of Rabbits unconscious, or blow a hole in a mountain. He releases his bursts of ocular energy with his signature battle cry, “Fear my eyeballs!”

Unfortunately, there are a few drawbacks to his powers, which prevent from being the most effective warrior…

Mighty Ray needs to eat bananas to recharge and fire his Magical Electrical Eyeballs. (They were given to him by the Monkey King.) The problem is that Mighty Ray hates bananas. And no matter how hard he tries to overcome his revulsion, he simply cannot stomach them. Typically, if he tries to eat more than one a day, he’ll pass out or puke the banana up.

And there’s also the fact that Mighty Ray’s raw power is not complemented by battle skill or coordination. He has been known to blast a hole in a wall…and bring the whole house down on top of him! He trips, he falls, he drops things on his toes. And while he’s not stupid by any means, he’s not the sharpest needle in the knit shop. Plus, he’s the most childish member of First Squad. All of this makes Mighty Ray almost as big of a threat to himself, as he is to his enemies!

Still, Mighty Ray is a good guy to have on your side. In addition to his eyeballs, he has the strength to hold back a charging bull. And he is a fearless fighter! He usually leads First Squad into battle. Unfortunately, the other side of his courage coin is that he is prone to rushing into things headlong, without considering the consequences…

Mighty Ray is a bit of a hothead. He’s quick to anger, can be a sore loser, and he can be selfish like a little kid. But he also believes in doing what is right. He is trustworthy, and as loyal as a puppy.

Another aspect of Mighty Ray’s personality is that he is constantly trying to prove himself to the others in First Squad. Sometimes, Mighty Ray comes across as a braggart or a show-off. But inside, he is trying to prove to himself that he is worthy of being a member of First Squad.

For their parts, the other members of First Squad (especially Mystique Sonia) may argue and fight with him at times, but they trust him completely, and wouldn’t have anyone else on their team. Mighty Ray is constantly bickering and fighting with Mystique Sonia.

Jumpy Ghostface

Among the Rabbits, Jumpy Ghostface is known by another title: Rabbit King. He was the leader of the Rabbit tribe until First Squad convinced the Rabbits to join Big Green in their quest for peace.

Like all Rabbits, Jumpy Ghostface cannot speak Human Language. He just chitters mostly. Sometimes this gets his point across, but often it doesn’t. He is, however taking language lessons from the Parrot King, and is starting to learn a few words.

Jumpy has a huge imagination. He imagines himself flying into outer space, or performing in a circus, or whatever makes him giggle. He often gets carried away with daydreaming, when he should be concentrating on his work. He has even been known to “space-out” right in the middle of a battle. This daydreaming often earns him a severe scolding from Mr. No Hands. And along with his wild imagination Jumpy is just like most animals, so he often gets distracted by things like candy or games.

Jumpy Ghostface is a master of jumping rope. He jumps rope with such speed, that he can create a ropey force-field around himself and others. In addition to his rope skills, Jumpy often wraps his ears around his head like a ninja mask, and throws carrots like throwing stars. Plus, he can use his ears as extra hands when he needs to.

Since Jumpy can’t speak Human Language (at least not well) he is a bit of an outsider in First Squad. But he is a loyal friend to everyone in First Squad. He is particularly in awe of Lin Chung: In fact, the reason Jumpy joined First Squad is because he was impressed when Lin Chung bested him in a jump-rope contest. Sometimes, Mighty Ray and Mystique Sonia can’t help but think of Jumpy as “cute.”

Mr. No Hands

Though he is not a warrior, Mr. No Hands is also a member of First Squad. He doesn’t accompany them on most of their missions as he is not a strong fighter, but he is their leader – the one responsible for training them to be the elite fighting squad that they are.

Mr. No Hands is strict and gruff, often shouting instructions like a drill sergeant. He is very hard on the members of First Squad, because he recognizes their potential to turn the tide of the war in favor of Big Green.

Mr. No Hands is the only member of First Squad with the ability to fly. The braid atop his head can spin like a propeller. And when forced into battle, he can fire darts at his enemies. How he fires the darts without his hands, is a big mystery…

Contrary to his name, Mr. No Hands actually does have hands. He just keeps them locked away under his robe. His hands have a tendency to misbehave if he lets them out in the open.

One More Thing: Despite his harsh exterior, Mr. No Hands has a soft spot inside for each member of First Squad. He worries about them whenever he sends them out on missions, and would be deeply saddened if any of them were hurt.

OTHER IMPORTANT MEMBERS OF BIG GREEN

ApeTrully

When the evil trickster HighRoller deceived the Animals, and brought unrest to the Hidden Kingdom, one Animal was able to see through his lies: ApeTrully the Monkey King.

ApeTrully realized that Animals and Humans would need to work together to defeat HighRoller and undo the damage he had done. So, it was ApeTrully who assembled the heroes to oppose HighRoller, and it was he who formed Big Green. However, he feared that no Human would trust a Monkey to lead them into battle against Animals, so he disguised himself as a Human…a disguise he maintains to this day. (Certainly the Humans would trust him by now, but once a Monkey gets an idea in his head, it’s hard to replace it with a new one!)

ApeTrully is the leader of Big Green: Everyone refers to him as “Commander ApeTrully.” Having studied under the Parrot King before the war, ApeTrully is one of the few Animals to fluently speak both Animal and Human. He is therefore the only one who can negotiate with the Animals, and he is needed for translation.

Even though ApeTrully saw through HighRoller’s lies, he is not always the wisest. He has the idea stuck in his head that bribing Animals with gold is the best way to make allies with them. And, even though this tactic has failed and placed him in harm’s way several times, he still keeps trying! (As noted, Monkeys hold tight to their ideas…)

When his negotiating tactics inevitably fail, ApeTrully uses a distress signal in his hat to call First Squad to come rescue him. (He’s pretty worthless in a fight.)

One More Thing: ApeTrully tries to hide the fact that he is a Monkey, but sometimes, his simian nature just can’t keep from shining through…like when he starts swinging from the trees, or wolfing down Mighty Ray’s bananas. These slips are usually embarrassing for the leader of Big Green.

Woo the Wise

One of the first people ApeTrully convinced to join Big Green was Woo the Wise. Woo was an eccentric inventor and hermit, who now uses his knowledge and wisdom to help Big Green in their struggles against HighRoller. He provides them with the necessary strategies and inventions to combat the Animal Armies.

Woo the Wise often has good (if bizarre) ideas. But just as often, he will run out of ideas and make up elaborate, goofy excuses. He assures everyone that he has the situation under control…while inside he panics. Sometimes, he even gets so nervous that his robe flips up, revealing his underpants…

Having lived as a hermit, Woo the Wise isn’t always the best at communicating with others. And he can get jittery if faced with pressure.

Also, he wears a book of his ideas on his head. He uses a pointer to flip to the proper page when he needs to illustrate one of his ideas.

THE BAD GUYS

HighRoller

HighRoller was once a happy court jester, laughing and playing games. But he insulted the Emperor, and was cast from the great East Citadel. He wandered alone, brooding and learning to hate Humans.

As fate would have it, he was struck by lightning, and gained the ability to speak the language of Animals.

He used this new power to tell lies about the Humans, and turned the Animals against them. He created an Animal Army and took revenge on the Humans by driving them from their homes, into the wilderness.

HighRoller acts like a big, mean, selfish, horrible kid…with an Army to back him up. He still likes laughing, and playing games. But now everyone has to laugh at his jokes and play by his rules. Anyone who doesn’t gets punished severely.

He is egomaniacal…so consumed with his own pleasure, that he makes his Animal subjects call him “Master,” and play games where they have to let him win. He also doesn’t like hearing bad news, and punishes his Animal soldiers who dare bring him a report of Big Green’s success.

HighRoller does not have any special powers. He just had an Army…and a massive bodyguard named BearStomp with a cannon attached to his head. Still even without powers, HighRoller is a master of all kinds of games, and these skills often translate to the battlefield in unexpected ways. Combine that with the fact that he likes to play dirty, and he can be a formidable opponent for even the skilled members of First Squad!

The Zebra Brothers: Sparky B and Sparky W

Sparky W is a white and black Zebra, while Sparky B is black and grey. They are twin brothers, spies in HighRoller’s army, and powerful magicians. They were the first to join Master HighRoller in his call to fight the Humans, so they think they hold a special place in HighRoller’s shriveled little heart. This is not true. He could care less about them beyond what they can do for him.

The magical power of their “Ghost Lanterns” is very strong, and they are powerful enemies of Big Green. However, they have a few things that limit their powers. First, their magical power is at its strongest once a month – at the full moon. For the rest of the month, they can barely get a pitcher of milk to disappear into a hat…

Also, they’re brothers. They goof off, bicker, fight, tell stupid jokes, fight some more, or take the day off to go swimming. All the things that brothers do, which distract them from fighting. Plus, like most animals, they can be distracted by things like games, candy, and sparkly things. To get quickly from place to place, they can form a rolling wheel by holding on to each other’s legs. Also, they once studied with ApeTrully under the Parrot King, so they are also able to speak Human language.

Definitly one of CN's better cartoons in my opinion, its creative and silly and I love it. My favorite charactor has got to be Sonia, I find her the most interesting considering she has a super strong tounge and a mighty hat haha. She's pretty cute too.

I love the show hero108. I am a huge otaku. I've watched tons of animes and cartoons over the years, and hero108 is one my the best I've seen. I get up at 6:30(est) every morning just before school to watch it. I am disapointed tho that there are only 26 episodes ( I still haven't seen them all yet). Hero108 is now my favorite cartoon and I wand to see much, much more of it. The creativity and pretty much everything about the show is amazing. I realy love this show and I don't want it to end like many other shows I enjoy, with only 26 (or less) episodes. I am wondering if the rumors are true, and that there will be a seaon 2 or more and if there will be a movie of it. I realy love this show and I want to see much more of it and see more seasons of it.

Its my fav show, its so funny and everything, but I think there should be episodes about their childhood and stuff... That would be ace! My favorite is Mighty Ray, but the turtles are awesome too!

Series Mini-Bible

Hero 108: The Story of First Squad

Long, long ago in the Hidden Lands, the Animals and the Humans lived together in peace.

It was sweet!

But the sugary nectar of tranquility was sucked dry by an evil interloper named HighRoller. HighRoller learned to speak the language of Animals—and he filled their heads with lies! Horrible, disorderly lies!

He convinced the Animals that the Humans were their enemies, and he persuaded them to form a toothy, hoofy, furry army. This Animal Army drove the Humans from their homes, and forced them to live as refugees. HighRoller ruled the land as a petty, greedy, immature emperor…and with his brainwashed Animal Army, no one could tell him, “No!”

But in the midst of the darkness, there was a greenish-hued ray of hope: An alliance of Heroes formed to oppose the evil emperor. These heroic Humans and clear-headed Animals sought to battle HighRoller’s armies, repair the rift between the Animals and Humans, and restore peace to the Hidden Kingdom. They banded together and called themselves Big Green (named after their floating fortress, created from the abandoned shell of a massive tortoise.)

 

FIRST SQUAD: Within Big Green, one squad of heroes distinguished themselves with their courageous actions: Their names were Lin Chung, Mystique Sonia, Mighty Ray, and Jumpy Ghostface. These heroes became known as First Squadron, and became the ones who were called in for missions of special importance.

CHARACTERS:

Lin Chung

Lin Chung is the most accomplished, most skilled warrior in all of Big Green. He possesses the legendary Panther Vision, which allows him to see great distances, or to see the world in slow motion while he moves with terrific speed. This vision has allowed Lin Chung to become an extraordinary sharpshooter. Lin Chung shoots bamboo shoots from his bamboo gun with amazing speed and incredible accuracy. He exhibits an effortless skill and physical prowess in all areas of the battlefield. His outstanding abilities have saved First Squad from danger on more than one occasion.

But while Lin Chung has the skill of a warrior, he has the soul of an artist.

Often it seems that everything around him…his teammates, his duties, even the very battles he is fighting…is of secondary concern to him. These things hold little importance to him when he is occupied with his true concern: Drawing.

Lin Chung spends much of his time sketching. And when he is drawing, you could practically drop a bomb on him, and he wouldn’t notice as long as it didn’t knock the pencil out of his hand. He has been know to hold a finger up to an opponent in battle, signaling for him to pause so he can capture the scene in charcoal.

Unfortunately, Lin Chung’s passion for drawing is completely unmatched by his skill. Or, to put it another way: He sucks.

Lin Chung is blissfully ignorant of his artistic suck-itude. His First Squad teammates have learned to make up creative ways to avoid telling him the truth about his horrible drawings, because Lin Chung has delicate feelings when it comes to his art. And First Squad has learned the hard (and painful) way that it’s really unpleasant to work with a sharpshooter who can’t keep his mind on his work.

Lin Chung often retreats to the forest for solitary communion with nature. He comes back refreshed and energized. This gives him a great calm, which often allows him to notice things others simply don’t see. For instance, he has been known to wander off during battle; the others think he’s been goofing off, but in reality, he has single-handedly thwarted an ambush. Also, when a battle starts, he often hangs back and looks for an opportunity to use his sharp-shooting skills, rather than rushing in headlong like some of his teammates.

Lin Chung’s ability to focus on more than just the clamor around him causes him to seem detached at times. Indeed, he is unlikely to joke or chitchat with his teammates. (He’s more likely to converse with bamboo shoots in the forest.) However, he has a sincere affection and respect for his teammates. And when they are in trouble, Lin Chung drops everything to rush to their rescue.

Lin Chung is a warrior of few words. His character should be revealed through action as often as possible. He is immensely skilled in battle, and rarely “breaks a sweat.” He might defeat eighteen Baboons, stop a dam from breaking, then land a quadruple back-flip…and his only reaction will be to straighten his hair.

Mystique Sonia

Mystique Sonia is the most beautiful girl in all of Big Green. She knows it. And she’s not afraid to use it.

Sonia will act all girly if it gets her what she wants. She’ll get one of the Tank Soldiers to wash her Turtle for her. Or she’ll convince one of the Air Force Pilots to take out the garbage for her. She is frequently showered with chocolates, flowers, and love letters from the soldiers of Big Green. And she loves the attention.

But don’t be fooled into mistaking her for a sweet, innocent little girl. Because when it comes to the battlefield, Mystique Sonia can lay down some old-school smack-down just as well as any of the boys! She’s badass, and she didn’t make it into First Squad for her good looks.

Mystique Sonia’s primary weapon is her long tongue attack. It can stretch several times her own body length and can be used to SMACK opponents from long distance. She can also use her tongue to tie up a Bear, trip an Elephant, lasso an Eagle, or create a strong wind by twirling her tongue like a fan. Sonia’s tongue is mightier than the sword!

In addition to her tongue, she wears a magical creature called a Yaksha on her head like a hat. Yaksha can stretch its body into many shapes. He has been used as a trampoline, or he can stretch to shield Sonia from attack. He can stretch his arms so that Sonia can swing from tree to tree, or his arms can function as another weapon in combination with Sonia’s tongue. Yaksha can also lift objects much heavier than Sonia could (and she’s certainly not above letting Yaksha do the grunt work.) Yaksha is completely, lovingly loyal to Sonia, and would sacrifice his life to protect her from harm.

Mystique Sonia has one other power: She feeds the members by magically causing steamed buns to grow up from the ground. They are delicious and nutritious, and give the members of First Squad plenty of strength for fighting!

One Final Thing: The members of First Squad are pretty used to Mystique Sonia and unlike most males in Big Green, they don’t go out of their way to treat her like a princess.

Mighty Ray

Mighty Ray is the most powerful member of Big Green. He possesses mighty Magical Electrical Eyeballs, which can unleash incredible blasts of lightning, fire, and thunder! His blasts can zap a battalion of Rabbits unconscious, or blow a hole in a mountain. He releases his bursts of ocular energy with his signature battle cry, “Fear my eyeballs!”

Unfortunately, there are a few drawbacks to his powers, which prevent from being the most effective warrior…

Mighty Ray needs to eat bananas to recharge and fire his Magical Electrical Eyeballs. (They were given to him by the Monkey King.) The problem is that Mighty Ray hates bananas. And no matter how hard he tries to overcome his revulsion, he simply cannot stomach them. Typically, if he tries to eat more than one a day, he’ll pass out or puke the banana up.

And there’s also the fact that Mighty Ray’s raw power is not complemented by battle skill or coordination. He has been known to blast a hole in a wall…and bring the whole house down on top of him! He trips, he falls, he drops things on his toes. And while he’s not stupid by any means, he’s not the sharpest needle in the knit shop. Plus, he’s the most childish member of First Squad. All of this makes Mighty Ray almost as big of a threat to himself, as he is to his enemies!

Still, Mighty Ray is a good guy to have on your side. In addition to his eyeballs, he has the strength to hold back a charging bull. And he is a fearless fighter! He usually leads First Squad into battle. Unfortunately, the other side of his courage coin is that he is prone to rushing into things headlong, without considering the consequences…

Mighty Ray is a bit of a hothead. He’s quick to anger, can be a sore loser, and he can be selfish like a little kid. But he also believes in doing what is right. He is trustworthy, and as loyal as a puppy.

Another aspect of Mighty Ray’s personality is that he is constantly trying to prove himself to the others in First Squad. Sometimes, Mighty Ray comes across as a braggart or a show-off. But inside, he is trying to prove to himself that he is worthy of being a member of First Squad.

For their parts, the other members of First Squad (especially Mystique Sonia) may argue and fight with him at times, but they trust him completely, and wouldn’t have anyone else on their team. Mighty Ray is constantly bickering and fighting with Mystique Sonia.

Jumpy Ghostface

Among the Rabbits, Jumpy Ghostface is known by another title: Rabbit King. He was the leader of the Rabbit tribe until First Squad convinced the Rabbits to join Big Green in their quest for peace.

Like all Rabbits, Jumpy Ghostface cannot speak Human Language. He just chitters mostly. Sometimes this gets his point across, but often it doesn’t. He is, however taking language lessons from the Parrot King, and is starting to learn a few words.

Jumpy has a huge imagination. He imagines himself flying into outer space, or performing in a circus, or whatever makes him giggle. He often gets carried away with daydreaming, when he should be concentrating on his work. He has even been known to “space-out” right in the middle of a battle. This daydreaming often earns him a severe scolding from Mr. No Hands. And along with his wild imagination Jumpy is just like most animals, so he often gets distracted by things like candy or games.

Jumpy Ghostface is a master of jumping rope. He jumps rope with such speed, that he can create a ropey force-field around himself and others. In addition to his rope skills, Jumpy often wraps his ears around his head like a ninja mask, and throws carrots like throwing stars. Plus, he can use his ears as extra hands when he needs to.

Since Jumpy can’t speak Human Language (at least not well) he is a bit of an outsider in First Squad. But he is a loyal friend to everyone in First Squad. He is particularly in awe of Lin Chung: In fact, the reason Jumpy joined First Squad is because he was impressed when Lin Chung bested him in a jump-rope contest. Sometimes, Mighty Ray and Mystique Sonia can’t help but think of Jumpy as “cute.”

Mr. No Hands

Though he is not a warrior, Mr. No Hands is also a member of First Squad. He doesn’t accompany them on most of their missions as he is not a strong fighter, but he is their leader – the one responsible for training them to be the elite fighting squad that they are.

Mr. No Hands is strict and gruff, often shouting instructions like a drill sergeant. He is very hard on the members of First Squad, because he recognizes their potential to turn the tide of the war in favor of Big Green.

Mr. No Hands is the only member of First Squad with the ability to fly. The braid atop his head can spin like a propeller. And when forced into battle, he can fire darts at his enemies. How he fires the darts without his hands, is a big mystery…

Contrary to his name, Mr. No Hands actually does have hands. He just keeps them locked away under his robe. His hands have a tendency to misbehave if he lets them out in the open.

One More Thing: Despite his harsh exterior, Mr. No Hands has a soft spot inside for each member of First Squad. He worries about them whenever he sends them out on missions, and would be deeply saddened if any of them were hurt.

this show is so cool. I really wish to see episodes about first squad's past. I especially want to know why mr. no hand's hands can't stop tickling him. Was born like that? was cursed by a witch doctor? or is it because of some other crazy reason? who know but hopefully, it will be revealed in season 2.

I want to see everyone as children! I was so hopeing to see that on the The Pitched Battle of the Great Wall Train! But made up for it by seeing Lin Chung as a grumpy old man!
